Sales Representative—Northeast Region

ShareStream, the leading provider of online video platforms for educational institutions, is seeking an experienced, motivated and highly skilled sales representative to cover the Northeast region in the United States.

ShareStream is experiencing significant growth in the education industry, and is expanding its sales and marketing team with talented and driven sales professionals to capitalize on the market opportunity. Candidates should have an extensive track record of success in selling enterprise-class software to universities, colleges or K–12 schools, preferably for teaching and learning.

The Sales Representatives will work closely with other members of the Sales and Marketing team, in addition to working with ShareStream’s client-facing engineers when needed. The Sales Representative will report directly to ShareStream Management.

Strong, preexisting relationships with key decision makers at institutions of higher education, state systems, or K–12 districts is a significant plus.

The Sales Representative will work out of ShareStream’s office in downtown Manhattan.

  • Prospecting and qualifying new accounts, and expanding ShareStream’s pipeline in the Northeast region
  • Forging relationships with C-level staff and key decision makers at accounts in sales pipeline
  • Communicating ShareStream’s unique value proposition to prospects and demonstrating ShareStream’s product during both online and onsite meeting
  • Efficiently leading prospects through a complex, enterprise solution sale with a 3-9 month purchasing cycle
  • Leading regional webinars with other team members for the ShareStream Video Platform
  • Providing price quotes and template-based proposals to accounts in pipeline
  • Attending conferences and other industry events to build pipeline
  • Documenting new clients’ project goals and timelines for ShareStream Account Managers, as well as any requests for feature enhancements or additional services that ShareStream does not currently offer.

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience selling enterprise-class software to higher education or K-12 schools, preferably for teaching and learning
  • Proven ability to forge strong relationships with key decision makers and close key, strategic accounts
  • Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Extensive track record in exceeding sales quotas for fast-growth enterprise software companies
  • Must be able to travel one-third of the time.
